This monitor is an extended version of the 38.1 cm (15'')-touch screen - version B. It features the same characteristics and technical data. Additionally, it provides an integrated chip key reader. This makes it an excellent choice for applications in restaurants, as it saves the space that would be normally required for an external waiter lock.
Users are identified by small magnetic chips. Every key contains a factory-set 16-digit key that cannot be user-adjusted. The lock sends the key’s ID immediately after contact to the keyboard wedge or serial interface of the PC (both cables included). Upon removing the key, the software receives another character string that signals the user has left the device. This simple technology is in particular much easier to operate in peak hours or under difficult conditions (wet hands, dirty clothing) than plugged-in keys or card systems. |
